The Blue Ridge Parkway extends from the northern tip of Shenandoah NP, through Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, to the northern tip of Great Smoky Mountain NP in Tennessee. It is called Skyline Drive within the borders of the Shenandoah NP. It is a limited access road with virtually NO services (gas, restaurants, motels, etc.) but it is a beautiful, relaxing drive across mountaintops across 3 states. The views can be breathtaking when not obscured by fog.

I stopped at the Humpback Rocks Visitor Center and Farm Museum to view some of the artifacts of early settlers of this region. There were displays regarding entertainment and the transition to modernity throughout the region.
